Today we are leaving York (written saturday 02.00) and 5 months of fun and adventure behind us! I hate saying goodbyes, who doesn’t? But when it has been as fun as this has been, it makes it even harder. I have made so many new and wonderful friends here from all over the world, and for that I’ll be forever thankful! And hopefully I get to keep them even if we are not in the same country, or even on the same continent. I don’t quite know how to express in words how much I’m going to miss this lovely, awesome city and everyone in it! I know it’s kinda cheesy and weird but I would like to thank all of you for making my time in York the best time ever!
I’m gonna miss our favorite ginger James and all his banter, Peters’ awesome accent and funny expressions such as ”shut your face” and ”chill your beans!”, I’m also gonna miss my captain, cus she really is an awesome captain and friend! I’m gonna miss our sweet sweet Donna and her wonderful smile and my really cool russian twin! 😀 I am really gonna miss hearing Spanish/Mexican/Catalan every day, (but really guys, it sounds kinda the same to me 😉 ), from my wonderful flatmates! I’m sooo gonna miss the Fluffy guy and his… lets say smile. 😉 And Kayla, one of the nicest, most caring people I’ve met, gonna miss you lovely! All of the girls in the volleyball team, its been a real pleasure getting to know you and play vball with all of you! It was totally new to most of us and I think that we where awesome! The volleyball boys to, it been lovely training with you and you should know that saturdays quickly became our favorite day of the week! Vagelis arm-waving and freakingly hard serves will not easily be forgotten, nor the fact that he now knows the most important Swedish word; Bajs. 😉 I’m also gonna miss hearing Nathan trying to speak Swedish, sounding more gay than swedish and looking like his jaw is about to pop out. Also gonna miss our awesome game-coach Will, and remember to send him a big pack of new pens on his birthday, to make up for the ones he broke in anger during our games. 😉 . Gonna miss miss Jensine and HER freakingly hard serves and awesome pointers on how to learn how to jump and smash a volleyball! Kayb and his style and music is hard to forget along with mad dancing and public speaking skills… 😉 It’s gonna be weird to not go out on wednesdays anymore and I’m gonna miss having socials, Davids’ and my discussions included. 😉 Out curly haired boys have given me a totally new image of english men, a very interesting one. There are many things I’m going to miss and I could sit here rambling all night, but don’t worry, I won’t… just… I’m gonna miss always feeling happy, and last but not least, Archies laugh!
The volleyball team has made our stay in York so good and I’m happy we decided to join! It breaks my heart a little bit that I have to go!
”You are my st John my only st John, you make me happy, when skies are grey……!”
York is a really beautiful city, I always say its the most beautiful small big city! I’m sure I will be back some day, no matter if I come to stay and live for a while or just to visit. Somehow I will be back! 🙂
Last of all, I would like to thank Clara. I know she doesn’t like clichés or touchie feelie stuff, but here it goes anyways love! If it where not for you, nagging about England and how much fun it would be to live there, and actually getting to it and applying for an exchange, then I would never have gone, and I would have missed out on one of the greatest things I have ever done! We where good friends before we left, but after these months I consider you one of my absolutely best friends and I think (and hope) that we’re gonna stay friends for a long time! So to you, and all of my new found friends in York and all over the world, I say thanks! I do love you and I’m gonna miss you a lot!
And remember that nutella is good on everything, or almost anyways… 😉
(Written today 22.30)
Thats all for now folks! And remember, ”The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again!”
This is not goodbye, so I’ll just say see you soon then!
Love! ❤
